Troop 48 was first chartered April 21, 1928 and is sponsored by Greece Baptist Church, 1230 Long Pond Road in Greece (Rochester) NY. Our Troop belongs to the Western Gateway District in the Seneca Waterways Council (formerly Otetiana Council).
Scouting's goal is to build Character, Citizenship, and Mental & Physical Readiness! We frequently participate in community service projects and enjoy opportunities to help others! We are a “Scout-run” Troop; the adults advise and provide guidance. Troop meetings are planned by the older and more experienced Scouts, and meetings are conducted by a Senior Patrol Leader with the help of other members of the PLC (Patrol Leaders Council).
There have been over 220 Scouts from Troop 48 that have attained the rank of Eagle Scout!
Troop 48 welcomes new Scouts! Boys and their families are invited and encouraged to attend one of our meetings, you do not need to be an active Scout to attend our Troop meeting. Please contact us for the details of when and where our next meeting is!
